DUBAI (Reuters) – President Hassan Rouhani on Sunday accused the United States of stoking tensions within the Gulf by means of what Iran has referred to as the violation of its airspace by a U.S. navy drone, which Tehran shot down, the semi-official Fars information company reported.
Iran on Thursday shot down a U.S. navy drone it mentioned was on a spy mission over its territory. Washington mentioned the plane was focused in worldwide air house in “an unprovoked assault”.
“Rouhani reiterated that this American aggression is the beginning of latest tensions by them within the area, and added: “This area may be very delicate … and necessary to many international locations, so we anticipate worldwide our bodies to react appropriately’,” Fars mentioned.
